Editorial governance

Independence and conflicts policy

ReplacedHip's policy for editorial independence, future funding, sponsorship and declarations of reviewer conflicts.

Editorial control

ReplacedHip retains editorial responsibility

ReplacedHip is responsible for topic selection, curation, wording, corrections and publication. A reviewer checks an agreed scope; a reviewer, source organisation or funder does not automatically endorse the site or control unrelated content.

This statement does not claim a particular legal company structure.

Future relationships

Funding and sponsorship must be disclosed

If ReplacedHip later receives funding, sponsorship, donated services or material support that could reasonably affect how readers judge an article, that relationship should be disclosed clearly and near the relevant content when appropriate.

Funding does not by itself constitute medical approval, partnership or endorsement.

External review

Reviewers declare relevant conflicts

External medical reviewers are asked to declare relevant financial, professional, research, organisational and product relationships. The public review credit must accurately describe the reviewer's role, scope and conflict declaration.

An employer or professional organisation is not named as endorsing ReplacedHip unless it has explicitly authorised that statement.

Questions about independence

Questions or concerns about a possible conflict can be sent to minhofteprotese@gmail.com. Reports are handled under the corrections policy.

Read the editorial and medical review policy for the version-bound external review process.
